About Orindanomics

Orindanomics was started by Evan, a local dad with a degree in economics from the University of Chicago (yes, he was fortunate to take Steven Levitt’s class). After years of somewhat successful local advocacy, a closer read of the city’s financials revealed surprises — how much is spent each year, and even more so how those funds have been allocated over time. Orindanomics exists to raise awareness of the city’s reported financials and to host a broader forum for local conversation.
